Inställningar för lösenordsstyrka

General

When creating a password, it is important to consider its strength to protect the user’s data from possible security breaches. A strong password is important when keeping personal and business secrets safe. Admin users can adjust the password requirement settings using the system settings. These settings can be accessed by going to Settings → Additional Settings → Security Settings.

Password strength settings

Password strength can be adjusted using several different settings. You can select the settings you prefer or all of them can be activated simultaneously. If a user tries to set a password for their account that does not meet the requirements of the settings, a message will be displayed below the password field. We will now go through the different setting options and what they mean.

Minimum password length

This setting specifies the minimum number of characters a user’s password must contain. The longer the password, the more difficult it is to guess or crack. You can select a value between 6 and 12 from the settings.

Password must contain at least one upper and lower case character

This setting specifies that the password must contain both upper and lower-case letters. This makes the password more complex and harder to guess.

Password must contain at least one number

This ensures that the user’s password contains at least one number. This increases the complexity of the password.

Password must contain at least one special character

A password should contain at least one special character, such as !, @, #, $ or %. Such characters make the password even harder to guess.

Show password strength guide

When this option is checked, the user is instructed on the strength of the password. The guidance tells the user both in colour (red/yellow/green) and with written notes whether the password is weak, medium or strong.
