Admin Settings in Email Contact Portal (ECP)
In the admin settings of the Email Contact Portal, you can manage the following settings, among others:
- ECP users
- List types
- Web tracking
- Site settings
- Email sender addresses
The admin settings can be found at the right edge of the top menu in the Settings section.
In the Users’ settings you can create and maintain the usernames. Creating a new user is simple and so is editing the information afterwards. The admin can also for example change passwords for users.
The username must always be the user’s e-mail address, for all the reports are sent to the user by his/hers username.
The password is determined when creating the user and the user can change the password when he/she logs in. The password is changed by clicking the user’s name in the top menu and then selecting Profile.
The list types in ECP denote email unsubscription lists. The number of available list types and emails per month depends on the portal licence:
- The Basic package (included in the basic licence): 2 unsubscription lists and 15 000 emails per month.
- The Basic Plus package: 2 unsubscription lists and 50 000 emails per month.
- The Extensive package: 5 unsubscription lists (optional feature) and 500 000 emails per month.

In Site Settings, you can manage the name shown as the portal “logo” and personalize the portal layout with CSS rules.
The email addresses shown as the sender can be managed in Sender addresses. To enable the use of the sender address, it must first be confirmed. The use must also be verified by the domain owner, so be in contact with your company’s IT support when adding new sender addresses.
NOTE: If any other email address than the ECP default address (email@example.com) is used as the sender address, the bounce control is also passed to the domain owner of the sender address. For this reason, the statistics and reporting of the email campaigns are not usable for the same extent as with the default address. When using other addresses, ECP interprets all the emails that have left the portal as successful, since the notification about the bounce does not reach ECP. Only in the cases when the receiving domain does not exist, the ECP interprets them as errors.
In Licences, you can see the current licence level and more information about how many emails have been sent / are scheduled for sending this month, and how many emails can still be sent with the current licence. There is also a summary of the web tracked internet domains and pages.
